One Of The World’s Largest Diamonds Unfurled In Dubai

They are a girl’s best friend, an article worth possessing unquestionably, a jewel that’s rich, shiny, and full of grandeur as also something so priceless that owning one can actually cause a huge hole in anyone’s pockets. Diamonds are ethereal, beautiful in a way that one can’t really put words around them and yet, so beyond the reach of us commoners. Yet, if there’s something that’s truly making outstanding news then it pertains to one of the world’s largest diamonds, something everyone is talking about, regardless of the fact that whether one can afford it for real!

Recently, the glorious city of Dubai unveiled one of the world’s largest diamonds.

And it is being touted that the emerald cut diamond is nearly priceless. That told, one wonders who is responsible behind the unfurling of one of the world’s largest diamonds?

It appears that Nemesis International, which happens to be a Dubai-based Diamond trading company the world’s largest D-Colored diamond.

Interestingly, the reveal was held during the DMCC’s fourth instalment (or edition) of the keenly-visited Dubai Diamond Conference. It’s also popularly known as the DDC and is one of the most spectacular shows in all of Dubai.

That said, here are some more interesting highlights pertaining to one of the world’s largest diamonds that has ever been according to the leading Middle East news outlet Khaleej Times:

The diamond comes from the world’s most valuable rough diamond, ‘The Constellation’, with a weight of 812.77 carats and the record purchase price of $63 million. The evaluation, mapping and polishing process took over 18 months to complete, utilising the most technologically advanced equipment available to the diamond industry today and was mainly processed and completed here in the UAE by Almas Diamond Services, a sister company of Nemesis International. The final result of this incredible journey is of eight perfectly polished stones.

Dubai’s diamond industry has grown into one of the largest in the world, with over Dh92 billion ($25 billion) traded through the emirate in 2018 alone and Dubai now standing as a leading global diamond center on par with New York, Antwerp and Mumbai. Nemesis International aims to continuously contribute to UAE’s diamond and jewellery industry, country’s GDP, economic growth and stability.

On the prosperous occasion of the unveiling of the special diamond, the CEO of the company (Nemesis International) shared some keen aspects about the occasion and the priceless product that everyone would love to wield in their hands:
