Bringing a technological boon in the aviation sector, a Ukrainian engineer has come up with a detachable plane model to save lives during plane crashes.
The design presented by him includes a detachable plane cabin which can be ejected anytime during the emergency situation and facilitates safe landing for passengers, even on water.
As per the report published by mirror.co.uk, this newest invention by Tatarenko Vladimir Nikolaevich has the possibility to save hundreds of lives during the unfortunate mid-air crashes or other emergency situations.
The Ukrainian engineer had been working on this project from last three years and presented the final design recently.
This model allows the cabin to detach anytime no matter if the plane is taking off, landing or is in the mid-air, thousands of feet above from earth. The plane can then be landed safely on the water or ground owing to the parachutes attached to it which would automatically open up when the capsule is detached from the airplane.“Surviving in a plane crash is possible. While aircraft engineers all over the world are trying to make planes safer, they can do nothing about the human factor,” Tatarenko said.
Apart from saving the passengers’ life, the new aircraft design also ensures that there is no luggage lost during the emergency detaching. The cabin design includes a storage space underneath that holds passengers’ luggage during the flight.
Before this invention, Tatarenko had also received patents in 2015 for an escape capsule designed to safeguard passengers on the flight.
Every year, hundreds of people lost their lives due to the unfortunate plane crashes. The latest major accident happened on 31 October 2015 when Metrojet Flight 9268, an Airbus A321 crashed 23 minutes after take-off from Sharm-el Sheikh International airport. The accident killed all 224 passengers and crew on board.
This new detachable plane invention, if turns out 100% successful, can bring a revolution in the aircraft industry and the way people travel.
