Artificial Intelligence is on the rise and we are officially moving towards a time where things would be done and executed by computers. In the starting of 2016, Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg challenged himself to create a personal home assistant. Which is almost complete and on Tuesday he showcased the progress of his AI home which has been named Jarvis – similar to the one in Robert Downey Jr.’s Ironman.
He posted two videos which manifested what Jarvis is able to do and perform. He can be considered almost a personal butler which can be controlled by voice modulation as well as by a textual conversation. The best part of this AI home device is that Jarvis’ voice is that of the fabled actor, Morgan Freeman.
There are many things that Jarvis can do, like set your alarm, give you the details of your day, can identify faces and lets you know about them when they enter your house, it hands you your clothes for the day and even makes your breakfast. What else do you need from life now?
Mark being Mark, asked Jarvis to play a good Nickelback song to which Jarvis replied with – There is no good Nickelback song, and that made us realised that Jarvis does efficiently know about our world.
However, Jarvis is still under process which is the reason why Zuckerberg has asked for some more ideas from fellow Facebook users, which he would try to build and improve Jarvis’ performance.
