Twitterati Reactions on India’s Most-Loved Captain, MS Dhoni’s Step Down

Mahendra Singh Dhoni would go down in history as one of the most successful captains in Indian Cricket. He was the support behind India’s T20 World Cup win and behind the ODI World Cup, which is commendable in itself. He is a man whose presence on the field can contribute to India’s chances of winning a match. He was an amazing finisher who is popular for finishing off matches in the most amazing way possible. All this and much much more made him the absolute favourite of Cricket junkies.

However, he has relinquished from T20 and ODI captaincy which means we would not be able to see him leading the Indian cricket team anymore. He had already taken a retirement from the Test cricket is 2014. But, all is not bad, he would still be available for selection in the upcoming home series against England.

This announcement of Dhoni’s departure was a surprise for all, while some are taken aback others are just disappointed and some are congratulating him on his career’s success. Take a look at how Twitterati reacted to MS Dhoni’s exit.
