Shashi Tharoor Gave A ‘Sassy’ Reply On The Kashmir Issue To A Pakistani Woman

We all can agree that Shashi Tharoor is one of the finest men on Earth to explain and represent India to the world. He’s well-spoken, knows a lot about our country, plus, has an entertaining savagery in him.

This former diplomat and member of Parliament has proved that there’s no one who can voice the new-age India in a much better way, than him. What started from Oxford Union Society debate, is still going strong and insightful for the people of our country, as well as, for the world.

He has extensively spoken about the reparation and apology owed by the Britain for colonising India. Then, while appearing on a television show in the UK, Tharoor shared broad details of how badly India had first repressed and then grown, during and after the British Raj. There’s so much that this man knows and he has compiled a large portion of it in his new book, Inglorious Empire.

Now, he’s visiting a bunch of universities in the US to launch his book and speak to the students about it.

During a Q&A session in one of the universities, a student from Pakistan insinuated if India would also be viewed as an ‘inglorious empire’ for occupying Kashmir against the wishes of many resident Kashmiris.

Tharoor answered in the most eloquent way possible to the girl that he could spend an entire afternoon if he had to speak on the issue of Kashmir.

Tharoor also added that in India, religion is not a valid determinant of nationhood, something that Pakistan boasts of.

This video has again proved that Shashi Tharoor knows what he’s speaking and doesn’t just blabber without driving any point to home. He indeed represents India in the best possible way.
