Praveen Rashtrapal was a Congress MP from Gujarat and he was selected to the 13th Lok Sabha (1999-2004). Rashtrapal was nominated in 2006 to the Rajya Sabha by the Congress. He was a member of the Upper House from April 2006 to April 2012. Later he was reelected in April 2012.
After suffering a massive heart attack Rashtrapal died in New Delhi on the morning of Thursday. He was 76 years old and had three daughters and a son. Rashtrapal’s wife passed away a couple of years ago.
He complained of uneasiness but before he could be provided proper medical assistance he suffered a cardiac arrest and could not survive.
