Complaint Filed Against The Journalist Who Tweeted The Morphed Image Of Modi.

Raghav Chopra who is a Journalist with CNN-IBN tweeted an image of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which Modi was appearing to touch the feet of some Saudi King. His tweet which has now been deleted from his account stated “ Will someone tell what’s Modi Ji doing in Saudi? Can’t be what it looks like surely.”

Nobody tried to inquire about the photograph right after it was posted but BJP MP Maheish Girri was among the first of the people who raised a furore on Twitter. They disclosed that the picture was forged and they also posted the original picture of Modi in which he was touching the feet of Advani as a mark of respect.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has finally filed a complaint against the journalist Raghav Chopra for  “misleading general public by fake photographs image” (sic).

The Minister of State I&B tweeted to his ministry’s official twitter account to review the violations by the journalist.

The journalist tried to explain that he was only questioning the authenticity of the image. Although first he trolled the officials for not understanding the basic English but later he realised the gravity of the situation and apologised for his post.

Raghav’s organisation CNN IBN also apologised for his post.

The photograph posted by the journalist was a photoshopped picture of Narendra Modi and it went viral in no time.
