Apparently 896 New Coronavirus Cases In India As On April 10, 2020

The time to hesitate is through. There’s just no time for that. The time to ignore or avoid is gone. All of that has withered away with the changing vagaries of time and the uncertainties that accompany each passing second. The elephant in the room is too big a creature to be ignored even by those who are quick to offer a blind eye, focusing on other things.

There must be some source of optimism out there but at least, as of now, it cannot be spotted. We are still some miles away from it.

So what’s the focus area now?

There is no denying the fact that Coronavirus is not just here; but if gone unchecked and shown ignorance, then it will end up consuming self-vested interests and ulterior egos.

So the first thing to do is to simply act with some sort of coherence and take cognizance of the fact that while escalation may not have happened on a daily measure but nothing can possibly deny that every now and again, is one hearing about this surge in the Coronavirus cases in India.

And at present- and mark the time and date- as of 11.30 PM, 10 April 2020, there are around 896 new cases of Coronavirus in India. So while we do know that a certain sense of a lapse of attentiveness (to treat the ailment, do the diagnosis) and perhaps lack of efforts have led us to a situation where precious lives have been lost, the thing is Coronavirus cannot be treated in the same way in which one treats exhaustion using some shut-eye.

Feel tired, cannot do anymore? Just hit the bed. Well, this isn’t that sort of situation- is it?

You’ve got to delve a little deep and treat the COVID-19 pandemic a bit cautiously for starters!

Yet, at the same time, nothing could be further from the truth that in a country boasting of crores and crores of people, fundamentally, 896 new cases don’t seem that damaging a proposition.

And maybe that is the reason why the honorable health ministry is of the view that the infection rate, from the samples collected (so far), isn’t that huge in the country.

This, it must be reminded, is the world’s largest democracy, and after China, the most populous nation on the face of the earth.

Now that being said, let us focus our attention to what Live Mint had to report on the matter of rising cases of Coronavirus in India:

The number of deaths topped the 200-mark as the fatalities rose to 206. 37 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Since last week, the Health Ministry has observed a staggering rise daily in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases across the country — nearly 500-plus cases daily with a few exceptions where the number has gone below 400 cases — a pattern, which indicates a worrying trend even after solid implementation of the nationwide lockdown and sealing of hotspots. Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu are the three-most affected parts of the country. Delhi and Tami Nadu saw their numbers rising due to the number of people who tested positive after attending the Tablighi Jamaat event in the national capital.
