When foreigners visit India, they usually have few similar observations about our country. That, Indians usually consume hot and spicy food, and the country’s temperature is too hot to handle.
For once, they might just be true in terms of speaking about Mumbai. Because, Mumbai is burning (not literally, just metaphorically) and along with that, it’s melting too.
The temperature around Mumbai has reached such heights that the railway tracks between Badlapur and Ambernath stations had bent due to the high temperatures. The people responsible for maintaining the tracks decided to cover it with leaves in order to cool the metal down, however, this is not the long-term solution to save things from melting away in this scorching heat.
“Heatwave conditions likely to prevail at isolated places over greater Mumbai, Raigad, and Ratnagiri during the next 48 hours,” read the warning that was issued by the weather bureau on Wednesday (March 28).
The thing more frightening than this level of heat is how terrible it would get in the coming months of summer? People are trying out different and innovative ways to keep their calm and cool in this otherwise dreadful heat and one those ways are by cracking a joke or two on Twitter.
Here are some of the hilarious tweets under #MumbaiHeat trend, nothing can get more innovative than this.
Laugh on your misery indeed stands true for the people of Maharashtra who seriously have no idea about how to live with this level of heat, other than cracking silly jokes about it on the Internet. #MumbaiHeat
