Indian Forces Are Giving Befitting Reply to Ceasefire Violation By Pakistan

Indian Army Official said on Tuesday that Indian Forces are giving a befitting reply to each and every ceasefire violation by Pakistan, causing ‘heavy damage’ to military bunkers and posts on the other side of Line of Control (LoC) and International Borders (IB).

The statement came as a reply to a rare Pakistani announcement which stated that seven Pakistani Military Personnel died while answering a Cross-Border fire by Indian Troops on Monday.

The announcement further stated that Pakistani Troops responded to unprovoked firing and destroyed Indian posts in the process. Pakistani Media reported that four Indian soldiers were killed and five Indian Posts were destroyed.

Indian Army has denied the allegations and saidOur forces never initiate a cross border fire and only responds when Pakistani Troops violate ceasefire treaty. But we respond and aim for maximum impact, giving a befitting reply at the place and time of our choice”.

The officials also stated that Indian Army does not hide casualties and the country has lost 10 Military and 4 BSF soldiers during cross-border shooting since September. Pakistan has lost many more soldiers and now for the first time they have been forced to acknowledge the casualties.

Since Indian Army carried out Surgical Strikes on militant launchpads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) on 29th September, the number of ceasefire violations has been increased rapidly and now Pakistan has started using heavy artillery like anti-tank guided missiles, 155mm howitzers and 105mm field guns.
