Number Of Publicatons Per Language

Issues with our radical lovers of Hindi is they compare “ Comparison of Hindi vs English”

This is a fact that there is a majority of our population which felt handicap without the knowledge of English. And there was an era of inferiority complex using Hindi but Hindi lovers knew it can’t lose its charm.

In 1977, first-time world witnessed the largest democracy’s another official language on UN platform.

Atal Ji was our foreign minister at that time.

From pre to post-independence era Hindi has shown its power, no language can dominate it, another language just assimilates into it. The way Hindi is evolving and embracing all the languages, it shows humbleness yet mightiness of our language.

The largest circulated Hindi Daily: “Punjab Kesari”, Jalandhar: 7,23,862

The largest number of publications registered in any Indian language (Hindi): 40,159 6 The second largest number of publications registered in any language other than Hindi (English): 13,138 7

The State with the largest number of registered publications (Uttar Pradesh): 15,209

Hindi had 3,213 dailies claiming a circulation of 12,64,77,693 copies, while 695 English & 929 Urdu dailies claimed 3,31,48,808 & 2,72,88,254 copies per publishing day respectively.

After reviewing the numbers, who says Hindi will be lost.

When the supreme position of democracy i.e PMO is using Hindi at all international and national level, why we are so depressed for our language.

The irony is people complaining and writing about the concerned condition of Hindi also has an English newspaper.

President of USA saying “Bade-bade desho mein aisi baatein hoti rehti hain” or Russians singing “mera joota hai japani” or usage of songs from Hindi cinema has crossed boundaries.

Our literature is getting published in all major countries of the world. From KABIR TO PREMCHAND has proved no matter which dialect is used, Hindi will remain in hearts of Indians, the fascination will be never ending.
