In the early hours of Monday, a Porsche car rammed to the median on the Dr Radhakrishnan Salai in Chennai and hit autorickshaws parked on the roadside. 11 people got injured and 2 of the injured are critical.
Vikas who is a resident of T Nagar was returning home from a party with his friend who is believed to be a former Indian cricket player’s brother. This party was thrown by Tuti Patriot, who won in the Tamil Nadu Premier League on Sunday night. Both of them escaped unhurt as the airbags in the Porsche were deployed as soon as the car hit the median.
V Vikas is the son of Supreme Court lawyer Vijay Anand and he was driving the car, he and his friend both were drunk. When the car ploughed through autorickshaws parked on the roadside, people who were sleeping in the autos got injured.
Two auto drivers Arumugam and Varadhan are crucially hurt and suffering serious injuries. They both are admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Medical College Hospital while other injured people are sent to Government Royapettah Hospital.
The case is registered by the Adyar traffic investigation wing police and the further investigations are going on.
