Delhi Police Is Searching For The Man Who Stabbed Dogs & Puppies At The Green Park Metro Station.

Delhi police is searching for the insane man who attacked four dogs with a knife outside the metro station of Green Park in South Delhi. The local shopkeepers around Green Park Metro Station found the dogs near Gate no.1 on the morning of 15th March.

Gaurav Wadhawan, who runs a cycle shop told police,“There was a lot of blood… a dead puppy was lying there. Some of the other dogs had injury marks from a sharp weapon. We rushed the injured dogs to a clinic.”

An animal rights activist, Varun said, “When we approached the metro security staff, they said footage from the CCTV camera installed outside the station showed a man attacking the dogs with a knife. They said they can’t investigate the case as the incident took place outside the station. We reported the matter to Hauz Khas police station.”

The CCTV footage of the Metro Station camera shows a bearded man, who appears to be in his 30s. The man came out of the station with a knife on his hand and started killing a puppy. He dumped the body of the puppy on the stairs and then attacked the other dogs. The case has been registered under the various sections of IPC and the Animal Preservation Act.

An officer said that the police has launched a search for the accused person. A sketch of the accused has been made from the CCTV footage and circulated in the area. The animal rights activist, Varun said that a similar case has happened about a month ago. A few dogs were attacked by somebody at the night near gate no. 3 of Green Park Metro station but none of the dogs were seriously injured. Two dogs were attacked with a sharp knife a day later in Gautam Nagar.

The DCP South Delhi Prem Nath said that the police has no information about any previous incidents or attack. The police force is looking into all the aspects that could help them to establish the identity of the accused man.

An NGO, Fauna Police even announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone who can provide them the information about the accused.

It does not come as a surprise that a man is killing dogs for his entertainment but to kill an animal who doesn’t mean any harm is sadly an inhuman act. Somebody save the dogs.
