Admitted In ICU After Delivery, Woman ‘Raped’ In Private Hospital In Haryana

New Delhi: In a shameful incident, a 22-year-old woman has been raped in a private hospital in Bahadurgarh, Haryana in early hours of Saturday.

The victim had recently delivered a baby and was admitted to the ICU where the alleged sexual assault took place.

The CCTV footage installed in the hospital premises have captured the accused man, however, he managed to escape after realizing the presence of the cameras.

In the video, a man is seen getting down from the car outside the hospital and walking casually inside at around 3:30 am.

He is seen straight entering the ICU ward where he allegedly raped the new mother.

As per reports, he told the guards that he was a doctor and entered the ICU ward which had total of eight beds.

CCTV footage shows him lifting screens and checking out patients. All this while, he is constantly talking on the phone. He is also seen leaving the hospital.

The hospital is probing the security loopholes which caused an unknown person to enter the ICU ward, the media reports added.

As per hospital authority, beds on either side of the alleged victim are occupied but no one heard any noise.

The Bahadurgarh Police have registered the rape case against an unidentified man on the basis of the complaint lodged by the woman’s husband.

The accused’s face is clearly visible in the video and police has been conducting raids in nearby areas of Bahadurgarh to nab the man. Footages from other places in the city are also been extracted to trace his movement. His pictures will be soon circulated to trigger quicker arrest.
