As per the government, Nestle India currently tops the list of companies that have offered food supply to Chennai in this hour of grief.

The statement issued by food and processing ministry states Nestle as the leader. The company has provided 1 crore Maggi noodle packets, 5000-litre tetra pack milk and 50,000 pouch coffee for relief.

Moreover, a company is also doing the delivery of around 80 lakh munch chocolates and 800 kg of Sunrise biscuits.

Apart from Nestle, the companies that have provided the food relief includes ITC, MTR, Britannia, Pepsico, Coca-Cola and Parle.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal, food & processing minister, in her official statement, said that companies should ensure that Chennai doesn’t fall short of milk packets, packaged water and packed food.

According to her, the ministry is contacting the companies to maintain a coordination to facilitate the deliver of food products to Tamil Nadu government.

Undoubtedly, Nestle’s effort is worth the appreciation. If more and, more companies will follow the suit, no one stranded in Chennai floods will suffer from hunger.

May god return the normalcy soon to the city.
