#ChennaiFloods: Jayalalithaa’s Baahubali Style Poster Is The Most Insensitive Thing You Will See Today

New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is worshipped as a goddess in the state. The localities address her as “Amma” and she boasts a reputation over and above of a politician.

But, a recent act by her party AIADMK may put her in the bad light.

Recently, Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu witnessed the massive rainfall ever in last 100 years, which turned out into the disastrous floods. Millions of people are left stranded on the roads as the flood water washed away their homes n belongings.

While Chennai residents are dealing with the natural disaster, their chief minister has turned a blind eye and is busy doing self-promotion.

J Jayalalithaa’s party has put billboards of “amma” in the state which are seemingly inspired from RS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali.

In the hoarding, Amma can be seen holding a baby over the water similar to the scene where Ramya Krishnan’s character Sivagami did in the movie.

It is apparently a depiction of how J Jayalalithaa is saving the Chennai from the floods.

And not only this, AIADMK workers are even pasting Jayalalithaa’s photos on the relief material to be distributed among the flood victims for the sake of publicity.

The party is leaving no stone unturned to make full use of the opportunity and project “Amma” as the saviour of Chennai.

Notably, Chennai floods are the result of human negligence and not entirely a natural disaster as TN government paid no heed to the warnings issued by MET department. If a timely action was taken, Chennai would have been saved from a lot of destruction.

However, now the damage is done and a sensible action plan is expected out of the government in the hour of grief and not such kind of promotional tactics.

Well, things are getting better in the state, thanks to the efforts of the Indian army, navy and brave volunteers that 28,000 people have been moved to safe places.

Let’s pray for the normalcy to return to the state.
