Another Terror Attack Which Claimed the Lives Of Indian Soldiers

Two Indian soldiers have been killed during a terrorist attack on an Army Base in Nagrota district of Jammu and Kashmir. The attack started on Tuesday morning and the encounter between terrorists and Indian Armed Forces is still underway.

The terrorist launched grenades and opened fire at 5:30 am injuring a BSF Jawan and a soldier. Both of them were taken to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The Nagrota Cantonment serves as the headquarter of 16 Indian Army Divisions and is home to several Army Personnel. The Local administration has ordered all the schools and other organisations in the cantonment area to shut their operations and vacate the area near National Highway 1A. Traffic has also been diverted from NH-1A.

Indian Army is tackling another infiltration bid in the Ramgarh sector of Samba District near the International Borders (IB). Three militant has been reported to show resistance to Indian Army’s attack and are said to be on a ‘Done or Dead’ mission.

A Police Officer said that the militants were planning an infiltration bid and were hiding in a power house situated in Satwal area. Once the Army got a lead about them, an all and all assault was launched to eliminate the militants.

A BSF jawan, Sanjay Kumar has been reported injured in this attack and going by the reports, around three terrorists are holding up their positions in a village near the International Borders. The encounter is still underway.

Since the Indian Army carried out surgical strike in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), there has been a surge in on-border tension between India and Pakistan and due to this rapid increase in infiltration attempts as well as cross-border fire, the 13-year-old ceasefire treaty has come to tatters.
