Emirates Airlines Sets Up A Bridge Between Dubai And India For Useful Supplies!

In this challenging and horrid second wave of the Coronavirus in India, while the situation in the country is like that of a nation being masked by some of its darkest days, it’s not like that the rest of the world isn’t aware of the challenges that one of the world’s largest democracies is facing. Similarly, America responded with a rather unprecedented half a billion dollars worth of financial assistance to India, its close international ally. In similar vein, the famous Niagara falls, in a bid to offer solidarity toward India’s COVID fight lit up the world-famous falls in India’s national tricolours.

Now, it turns out that Dubai, the heart of the Emirates has vowed to assist India in a very useful way. So what is the co-operation being extended by Dubai to India?

Apparently, the Dubai-based Emirates Airlines has set an air bridge with India for the simple and useful purpose of facilitating the transport of much-needed and urgently-sought medical aid.

What’s confirmed is that the said free cargo facility shall be extended to no fewer than nine different Indian cities, in a bid to aid international not for profits toward the provision of relief supplies in a country where they are currently sought.

That being said, here’s what a report published on Asianet Newsable shared quoting Emirates Skycargo DSVP Mr. Nabil Sultan, “

“Emirates and the UAE stand with India. We have created a humanitarian air bridge between Dubai and India to transport urgent medical and relief items to support India in its fight against the serious situation in the country. We will offer cargo capacity free of charge to NGOS to ship relief items on all our flights from Dubai to nine Indian cities.”

Furthermore, stating in no uncertain terms the strong ties that exist between the two countries (Dubai and India), an official media release from the end of Emirates Chairman and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum happened to state, “

India and Emirates are deeply connected, since our first flights to India in 1985. We stand with the Indian people and will do all we can to help India get back on its feet.”
