According to official data from government sources, it can be established that the (projected) population of Jharkhand at this very time is 41 million and 70,000, approximately. This, however, is an increase from the 2023 number that stood at 40 million and 580,000.
Now, this is not some boring standalone figure. Implicit in this 41 million plus current population of one of India’s most fascinating, if also, hugely understated regions is the population of its youth.
Ever wondered what the youth population of the state of Jharkhand is? According to Dainik Bhaskar, 51 percent (%) of Jharkhand’s population is under the age of 25 years.
This is that very constituent of the region’s population in whose hands rests the very future of the state. It’s the population that also often has to travel to other regions and bits of geography in the country for ‘better opportunities’ and for seeking ‘stability in life,’ be it in the field of IT, Travel and Tourism, Commerce, Automotive or even AI-related current and developing spheres of vocation.
Though, make no mistake, it’s this population of Jharkhand that constantly searches for a figure of inspiration, an apostle that can be looked at as a figure working not just for the welfare of youth; but for the welfare of the entirety of Jharkhand.
And this is where the hope for development, the promise of a bright future for the state of Jharkhand find in someone like Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, an individual that provides a refreshing breath of freshness, and above anything else, an air of certainty.
Akin to the combination of great aesthetic sense and a sense of style, both of which are amply evident in Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, today the region of Jharkhand calls upon its own for change.
To bat for a change for the better for the entire region, to seek great meaning for a state that’s given our country, lest it is forgotten, heroes and icons such as the great Birsa Munda!
But in order to lead the youth by an example, one has to have access to ideas that can bring about transformation, and most importantly, be part of a vehicle that desires bringing about change as also explicitly stated in Ministry of Employment and Labour’s charter for this very state: “Investments in Infrastructure and productive capacity have a large multiplier impact on growth and employment.”
Perhaps this is where it might not be wrong to state that there lies a lot of hope for Jharkhand because there’s a certain Aditya Vikram Jaiswal there. From Ranchi, devoted- by self admission- to the development and upping the ante of growth in the state that must become synonymous with the phrase, Aditya Vikam Jaswal is not your average joe.
He is as smiling a lad as he is warm and affectionate. Armed with a winning smile and impeccable dressing sense, this avid young man from Jharkhand actually echoes the self confidence that the youngsters of his state would definitely identify with.
In an age where we often hear the words, “Your Network is Your Net Worth”, Aditya Vikram Jaiswal believes in the former. Net worth can follow for anyone; it’s important to be on the roads, the streets and the alleys where sweat oozes from the pores of the skin that works tirelessly for India.
He is connected to the one in the last mile of town. Listening to the everyday problems of the common man who works tirelessly hard for the state’s betterment, whether as a street hawker or a vendor to maintaining ties with the shoe manufacturer of a mid-size brand or even the modern day entrepreneur echoing Jharkhand’s next chapters, Aditya Vikram Jawal believes in maintaining genuine ties with people.
Here’s a people’s person who listens patiently and engages in problem solving of his very people. And who are his people? The people of Jharkhand, who are ultimately, an intricate and precious part of India albeit one who need to be heard from, who need to be written a lot about and most importantly, whose avid efforts in contributing to India must become a headlining act.
There’s a simplicity and very yesteryear’s sincerity about Aditya Vikram Jaiswal’s voice and the tone is often unhurried and marked with patience.
He has time for people. That’s when he leads a totally packed life.
His voice oozes the quiet confidence as opposed to the brooding impertinence that stems from many youngsters from contemporary urban India.
Here’s a man who has a foot often in Delhi and elsewhere for he’s always traveling up north and even westbound and towards the east to gather the best of ideas to work towards the collective interest for his state that is a vital part of the nation.
His social media profile hides nothing, expresses his love for life; for its simple pleasures and for living amid people, sharing smiles and chasing sunsets, albeit always with a fierce spark of individuality.
He is a friend to all, being a foe only to the irrational wastage of time. He’d be in art gatherings as also at the rural artisans’ workshop. He can be found at a Polo match as also in a charity cricket match organised for the marginalised.
He’ll be found reading a best-seller of Dr. Shashi Tharoor and in those lovely selfies with his close and very honourable friend, Suvir Saran. Aditya Vikram Jaiswal is someone who’ll party and also work tirelessly hard for his political party- always with a sense of purpose, always with pride.
It’s easy to find into many of contemporary India’s young lives that dream big. But few are willing to allocate countless and precious hours, realitically speaking, to actually do something about it in a way that can impact lives.
Earnest, kind and always available with eagerness to talk of the progress of people and his nation, Aditya Vikram Jaswal, I note, is just that!
RapidLeaks caught up with the lad whose heart beats for the people of Jharkhand and a man who wishes to act when it’s easy to talk.
In what area or areas do you wish to work and what measures would you want to take?
First of all, I want to work for the eternal law and the eternal religion that we call “Sanatan”. And I want to work on the per capita income of the people of Jharkhand, including- how to boost the economy of Jharkhand, some policy making in that!
Importantly, the aim is to incorporate measures to work for the tribal economy and women’s economy as well.
Then, how to make an agricultural corridor, lead to a tourism revolution in the state of Jharkhand, which will increase the livelihood opportunities and employment opportunities in this region.
And these are the critical steps that I sincerely hope will stop the “Palaayan,” that often tends to happen with the folks migrating to the other regions (for the lack of better opportunities that exist in their own state).
I am a fifth-generation Congress person; my great-great grandfather was poisoned by the British. He was an active participant in the freedom movement, he was a member of the British Senate that time. Post-that, my great grandfather became an MLA from Benares. This was 1947.
My own grandfather was the first mayor of Ranchi for a period of 14 years, from 1962-to-1976.
As for myself, I started my career from the Congress party. This was 2004. I have been into Organisational structure from Zila Congress to Pradesh Secretary, then heading the professional unit of the Congress Jharkhand as the State President.
And until a few weeks back, I was Delegate, Pradesh Congress as well; and I had to quit the party unfortunately because of the people there.
With much due respect, I have to concede that they don’t have the desire to work for the state.
Well, in Congress, Rahul Gandhi and the team- they have blind eyes and deaf ears. It is with much chagrin that I share my assessment that they don’t value the old guards who are there, actively working and painstakingly producing the effort to work for the welfare of the people and the region.
Congress doesn’t work as per the line of thought that was laid down by its luminaries and giants, timeless greats such as the venerable Mahatma Gandhi Ji and Sardar Patel and even Lal Bahadur Shastri ji.
Their current line of thinking, I am afraid, is in stark contrast to the one laid down by these marvels of Indian polity; so I must say that the present line of thinking and ideology that is the system of Mr Rahul Gandhi is one that ascribes to a system of the self and working for the self as opposed to that of the people (forget their welfare).
So what good would it have served had I stayed back in the Congress party that you see today.
The reason why I moved away from the Congress party is first and foremost that I, as a person, believe in the value system and morals laid down by my country’s great freedom fighters. It’s because I genuinely, deeply and very sincerely wish to work for the collective welfare of the people; not follow that line of thought that is currently being followed by one individual, because it tends to suit his line of thinking; not that of the people whom he must serve.
