Krishna, one of the most popular incarnations of Vishnu who is said to be the idol man ever. He is said to be the one deity who has managed to fulfill all of his duties and roles as a human. he is an inspiration for many and even those who don’t believe in God and mythology can not deny that his teachings are valuable for life. Krishna lived an impeccable life and every stage of his life is a lesson about mankind.  

In this fast paced world, every person is facing difficulties in life, we have become less tolerant and the outcome has become the focus of every of our doing. We face minimal challenges in life and yet our life seems like a mess. Humankind is striving to achieve a peaceful and calm life, our scattered thoughts are making us astray from our desired paths and that is resulting only in more complications.

1. You Should Always Do Your Duties Without Being Concerned About The Results.

Krishna has explained that we are born to execute our duties that are entitled to us. We should always work without the feeling of ownership and should never get too attached to anything in life. Focusing on results builds expectations and expectations only yield sorrow and sadness.

2. Play All The Roles In Your Life Truthfully!

We have so many different roles in life. A role of daughter/son, husband/wife, sister/brother, friend, mentor, and many others. Krishna has taught that whatever role has been entitled to you, one should always play it honestly and sincerely. We should be dedicated to each one of them.

According to Lord Krishna, everyone is reaping the fruit of their own Karma. There is nothing we can do about our past, present or future. You may feel that nothing is going right in life but worrying over it will do no good to you as with passing time, the reason behind your suffering will unveil. We always get what’s good for us so, we should stop trying to control everything.

We are born to die someday. We may attain wealth in life but with our last breath, we will leave everything behind. Krishna has said that one should always be a giver. Do more for people and always return more than you receive. Once, his friend Sudama gifted him rice and in return, Krishna gave him two worlds and a house of gold. The friendship of Krishna and Sudama is exemplary till date.

5. Always Try To Protect Others.

The biggest act of humanity in existence is to protect the weak. Those who are helpless and weak can never protect themselves and if you are capable enough to lend a helping hand then you must do it. Krishna protecting Draupadi from Duryodhana is the greatest example of protecting the weak. She was helpless in that court and Krishna saved her pride.

6. Always Stay calm And Composed.

According to Krishna, a wise man knows how to control his mind. He has taught that one should always stay calm. Nothing in life is permanent, we should never take materialistic things seriously. Krishna lived a simple life as well as a princely life but in both stages of his life, he remained neutral.

7. Remember, You Don’t Need To Play The Hero All Time!

There were many times when Krishna played underdog to avoid a fight or to tackle a situation because he knew that playing a hero is not necessary every time. We should always handle the situation in best possible way and for that, if we need to suppress our ego, we should. At times playing a hero can cause harm to others, that is why it is important that we keep our cool.

8. Never Underestimate Yourself.

Krishna is often referred as “The Dark One” and many people tried to insult him because he had a dark complexion but he never looked down on himself. He has taught that everyone is born unique and you should not let others make you feel inferior. When you allow people to judge you, it causes a fatal effect to your self-esteem. Always believe in yourself and consider yourself equal to everyone.

Lord Krishna was an epitome of a perfect man. he knew how to lead a life with dignity. His mind was too relaxed which made him take the best decisions in life. Where we struggle to find peace in our day to day life, Krishna tackled biggest battles with ease. These teachings are merely a drop from his ocean of wisdom but if you could take an inspiration from these, you will start to lead a better life.
