On Tuesday, 3 Indian soldiers were killed along the LoC in Macchal in Jammu and Kashmir and the body of one of the soldiers was mutilated by Pakistani troops. The Northern Command vowed and said that the retribution will be heavy for the cowardly act.
After the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control in September, this incident will heighten the tension between India and Pakistan.
This is the second incident of mutilation of the body of an Indian soldier. A soldier of the 17th Sikh Regiment, Mandeep Singh was also killed in an encounter last month in the same Machhil sector of Kupwara and his body was mutilated by terrorists.
The Indian Army gave an official statement that “it would retaliate with an appropriate response“.
