Redmi Note 9 Pro has been one of the top selling smartphones in India right now and while recent launches from competitors such as Realme and Samsung are giving a tough competition to Xiaomi-owned brand, Redmi Note 9 Pro is still considered the most value for money product in the mid-budget segment. Now, the much-awaited Android 11 update has been introduced for Redmi Note 9 Pro users in the country which brings features such as an updated interface and more. However, reports have suggested that while Redmi Note 9 Pro is getting a stable update based on MIUI12, we are yet to know more about the changes that this update brings for its users.
For the unknown, the Xiaomi-owned brand launched Redmi Note 9 Pro with Android 10 based on MIUI 10 earlier this year and the Redmi Note 9 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 12,999 for the base 4GB RAM/64GB storage version. On the other hand, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is also getting the Android 11 update based on MIUI 12 and comes with the same set of features as that of its little sibling. According to Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max users on Twitter, the smartphones have started getting the Android 11 update based on version MIUI V12.0.1.0.RJWINXM and while the update is of 2.3GB in size, there is little clarity over what features of the new Android version are coming to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Note 9 Pro Max devices. As mentioned above, reports have suggested that it is a stable update and not a beta version of the software. On the other hand, users can check whether their Redmi Note 9 Pro devices have received the new update by going to Settings>About Phone.
When it comes to some of the most highlighted features of the Redmi Note 9 Pro include a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top, Snapdragon 720G 8nm processor under the hood, dedicated microSD card slot with dual SIM functionality, 5020mAh battery, 18W fast charging with Redmi Note 9 Pro and 33W fast charging for Note 9 Pro Max users. On the camera front, there is a quad camera setup including 48-MP primary rear camera, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 5MP 2cm macro sensor. Also, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor as the primary camera.
