10 Ekta Kapoor Shows That We Watched But Won’t Admit!

10 Ekta Kapoor TV Shows That Changed Indian Television Upside Down In 2000.

Ekta Kapoor has always been one hell of a Producer. We remember when she won audience’s heart with the light-hearted comedy does of  Hum Paanch but the major revolution came in 2000. Suddenly, Ekta Kapoor’s creativity took a flip and it was all about, “sexy sinister vamps, ideal beti and bahus, a khandaan with a big mention and a saas who was always busy in plotting and planning something”. Huff! That was some major drama she brought in Indian Television Industry.

Of course, who can forget that it all started with Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and her legacy is still going on. Well, it’s unfair to say that we didn’t enjoy them all, I mean I admit that after a stretch all those shows were our grannies or mummies favorite but we had a soft corner for them too.

Ekta Kapoor shows were so intriguing at first that everyone watched them Religiously but over the time, the numerous reincarnations, plastic surgeries, and resurrections made then a bit boring. But Hey! Till the time it was unpredictable, it was fun as hell!

Here Are 10 Ekta Kapoor Shows That Will Remind You Of Your Childhood!

1. Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi

The longest running daily soaps on Indian television. Yes! It was it completed bloody 1833 episodes in 8 years! (And the amazing part was Baa never died and no one else never aged)

2. Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki

Because Ekta Kapoor wanted us to watch Kyuki….. again and again, but different faces I guess. Kahaani… was very similar to Kyuki..

3. Kutumb

This show made all the teenagers believe that if a guy or girl is your enemy at the college, there are good chances that you may fall in love with them. (Probably The Coolest Show Of That Time)

4. Kasautii Zindagii Kay

Ohh! My Heart goes out to this one. The heartwarming title song and the impeccably incomplete love story of Anurag and Prerna. (Of Course, Rapchik and Kamolika can’t be forgotten)

5. Kaahin Kissii Roz

This reminds me that Ramola Sikand was just too good at pulling off that long bindi.

6. Kahiin To Hoga

This show was love. Why? Well, first it had Rajiv Khandelwal and Aamna Sharif as leads and second, thier love story was so cute. You can almost hear Thoda Sa Pyar Hua Hai in every episode.

7. Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai

This one had the perfect Awww love story in which a stubborn rockstar falls in love with a “seedhi saadhi kanya”.

8. Kitani Mohabbat Hai

Let’s admit that everyone just loved how lovey-dovey Arohi and Arjun were together.

9. Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

This was the last most popular serial under saas bahu genre and of course who other than Ekta Kapoor have created it better.

10. Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani

Now, how could she have left fantasy world aside. She gave us the most generous vampire and a human(girl) love story. Abhi and Piya were just made for each other and while I am writing about it, in mind head I can hear the background score of “Dil Ibadat”.

Feeling Nostalgic Anyone?
