Parched – The name is not unknown to the world. The movie has already won 18 awards in 24 International film festivals across the continents. The story that exhibits the state of women residing in the rural landscape of Gujarat, will make your heart bleed with tears. Parched will shake your soul for many reasons.
Starring Radhika Apte, Surveen Chawla, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Sayani Gupta in key roles, Parched exhibits the everyday brutality that consumes these women. A bar dancer, a sterile woman and two housewives who all are struggling to breathe in a society that is purely male dominating, where women are treated like an object to fulfil their ego, lust, anger and pride.
Every day they undergo the same insult but there comes a time when they decide to go rogue. All four of them elope to live their life and explore the beautiful gift they had, – Life.

The movie is directed by Leena Yadav and is a bittersweet tale of 4 ordinary women. Parched had been quite a talk of the town as it shows Adil and Radhika making love completely topless. The video was leaked over the internet a couple of days back.
