Director Mudassar Aziz was last heard of for his movie ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ in 2010. Now after almost six years he had directed ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ which appears to be a comedy of errors by the looks of their trailer release.
Happy, played by Diana Penti, is a bride who for some reason runs away on her wedding day and accidentally falls into a waiting truck bound for a city in Pakistan. As luck would have it, she lands up at the home of Abhay Deol, who looks like an influential person in the city of Lahore. The movie also stars Ali Fazal as Happy’s love interest (seemingly) and Jimmy Sheirgill, who plays the groom whose bride runs away on wedding eve. When we talk about Jimmy Sheirgill, it is funny how in most of his movies he loses his love to another male protagonist or his bride runs away from the wedding venue.
