“Anna”, the name itself is a revolution and now the world will get introduced to the man who changed the face of Nationalism in India. Anna Kisan Baburao Hazare is an upcoming biopic on the life of Anna which is 130 minutes long and is shot for over a year. The upcoming movie is inspired by his real life and has been shot in his native village Ralegan-Siddhi in Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), New Delhi, Ladakh, Mumbai, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir.
The story of Anna starts from his childhood and follows his stint with Indian Army, his one-time suicide attempt, his post-army struggles, his rural transformation experiences as a farmer and his nationalistic ‘India Against Corruption’ movement.

His ‘India Against Corruption’ movement culminated in several laws like Lokpal legislations and RTI. He led movements for better rural development and investigate corruption in public life. He often conducted hunger strikes like Mohandas K. Gandhi to further his goals. His efforts to establish the Ralegan Siddhi village as a model for others earned him the third-highest civilian award by Government of India – Padma Bhushan.
Anna stars Shashank Udapurkar, Tanisha Mukherji, Govind Namdeo and Rajit Kapoor. Directed and written by Shashank Udapurkar Anna is releasing on 14th October 2016.
