Forget about that sweet kiss. The prince actually gets Aurora pregnant and leaves her owing to the fact that he is already married. Aurora wakes up with the birth of her twins and leaves for the palace. On her arrival, the wife of prince tries to kill all three of them but the king convinces Aurora to the prince who basically raped her while she was asleep. Disgusting!

There is no sign of Belle’s sisters in the Disney version, however, in the original story, she is not the only child. After being kidnapped by the beast and imposing a strong positive impression on his heart, belle demands to visit her sisters for a week. Beast allows her and after watching her covered in pearls and diamonds, her sisters get jealous and plan to convince her to stay longer so that the beast get furious and kill belle.

Snow White was the fairest of all and her skin tone became a threat to her life. She had to escape to the woods, where she found seven dwarfs and started living with them. The fate of that witch wasn’t so generous. She wasn’t killed and died simply under the rock. In the original story, she was forced to dance in in heated iron shoe till she died. So much for revenge?

The Rapunzel was adopted by her farmer parents who got her in exchange for a salad with a witch when she was an infant. She was 12 when the witch found her again and locked in a tower which has no doors. The only way to climb up your way to that tower was beautiful, long hair of Rapunzel. One day a prince heard her sing and got up the tower. They made love and decided to get married. The prince left and came back again to take Rapunzel with him.

He found that witch, who threw him out of the window. The prince landed on spikes and had his eyes mutilated. He spent month roaming in the woods to find Rapunzel, until one day he heard her voice. By that time Rapunzel had two children, she cried after looking at her blind prince and her magical tears gave him sight back. Finally a happy ending.

Whoa! That was a real eye-opener, isn’t it? All these stories have been a happy memory, though we cannot say that about Disney movies anymore.
