“Mirzya Title Track” Is Out And We Can’t Decide It’s A Masterpiece Or A Blunder

“Mirzya title track” has been released from the upcoming film ‘Mirzya’ that features Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. The song is an absolute delight to listen but we are highly confused about the video. The film entwines the  old story of Mirza-Sahiban and from the video, we believe it has been set in a two-time zone. One where they are living in an old era of bow-arrow and horses, another where Harshvardhan is riding a bike and Saiyami is watching a polo match.

If you listen to the song only, it is a pure masterpiece as it has got the soothing flavour of music that has been missing for quite some time but the video of the song is projected in a very confusing way and we are not getting any story out it. (Although we do know the folklore of Mirza-Sahiban but getting a vague idea about the story would have been nice.)

The romance quotient is perfect and the high pitch folk number sounds mystical. Masterpiece or Blunder, you decide yourself.

They probably included the story of reincarnation but nothing has been said about it yet. The voices of Daler Mehndi, Sain Zahoor, Akhtar Chinnal and Nooran Sisters make it more captivating and the music of Shankar Ehsaan Loy is addictively soothing. Gulzar told the story of “Mirzya” as he carved the lyrics for the song. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who already entertained us with his  timeless hits like Delhi 6, Rang De Basanti and Bhaag Mikha Bhaag, this one promises heightened drama and action. The movie is slated to release on 7 October 2016.
