7 Of The Most Annoying Indian Advertisements That Did Their Job

No matter how annoying these Indian advertisements were, with their hook lines and all, they did an exceptional work in getting the message across.

Advertisement industry is one of the most flourished industries in every country where the companies that are making an advertisement for a product, not only work for success but also virality. While some do it by making good content, others just try to assemble THE most cringiest advertisement, in order to get people talking about it.

These cringy advertisements then start appearing every-freaking-where and after some time, you’ll feel that no one can escape them. So, we thought of compiling 7 of these annoying Indian advertisements. Some of these advertisements started with a great concept but because of too much television time, they turned annoying and are now on this list.

1. Colgate – “Kya Aapke Toothpaste Mein Namak Hai?”

When this advertisement first appeared on television it was funny and after watching it for some 3-4 days, I started getting annoyed with it, and the same has happened with many. And, now, even after some 6-7 years after its first arrival, the company is still using this same criterion.

2. Trivago – “Kya aapne kabhi online hotel search kiya hai?”

I remember Trivago guy appearing anywhere and everywhere, however, it was just recently when this guy was turned into a meme. And, the reason is pretty simple, he was everywhere. Like seriously, everywhere.

3. Airtel 4G and Sasha Chhetri

Sasha Chhetri or the 4G girl is one of the Internet’s favourite meme from the recent past. Her surprise visit to different places for promoting Airtel’s 4G network made her the butt of every network joke possible, for the longest time.

4. Fogg Deodorant – “Fogg Chal Raha Hai”

Fogg Chal Raha Hai was another phrase that turned from interesting to annoying, real quick. Ask anyone “Kya Chal Raha Hai?” and they’ll respond with this phrase, and while it might be fun for few times, it’s just downright annoying after that.

Indian advertisers can just come up with anything in order to promote their brand and product, and at times its thing annoying. Idea Internet Network (IIN) was made to believe to be more popular and reliable than various other colleges in the country and this was the rise one annoying meme.

6. Veet – #JustVeetIt

Shraddha Kapoor’s advertisement for Veet was one of the most annoying things on television and YouTube advertisement that I have ever witnessed. Plus, the fact that you just can’t skip through it, made the entire experience more annoying than any other thing.

7. 5 Star – Ramesh Aur Suresh

The Ramesh and Suresh was one funny and amazing advertisement but then the same happened with this one as well where they just played it too many times and made it annoying.
