His Latest Deed Proves Why Tom Hanks Is Considered One Of The Nicest Men Ever

There are actors. And then there’s a certain Thomas Jeffery Hanks. Get that simple. Understand it. Drink it like wisdom. Relish this fact. Know that this is how the “powers-that-be” desire it.

Not every man can be one of America’s favorite idols or superstars, yet so many desire being Tom Hanks. What proves his greatness is not only the sense of simplicity with which the man carries himself, rather also, and importantly so, the very fact that he takes time off from his own life to make some for the others.

And very often, these are the lives that not many know about or are even concerned about.

We know this about Tom Hanks from the long list of random posts wherein the famous “Joe Versus the Volcano”, “Forrest Gump”, “Castaway”, (and really the list is endless, you don’t have all that time) he creates, in which he takes pictures of ‘lost items’ he finds on subway streets and common American walkways, only to keep them safe with him or have those deposited safely elsewhere so the others (who follow him through his social media accounts) can spread a word about the ‘lost properties!’

Just who does that?

Who or why would a big American box-office legend or A-lister, for all intents and purposes, take time out to click lost objects only so those could be brought into the attention of those who may have been separated from them?

When not doing that, Tom Hanks runs into his fans during his early morning jogs and runs and then also conducts himself with utter simplicity, often posing with brides and grooms, and on many an occasion, taking a couple’s picture- his way of assisting them and spreading smiles.

But then, this recent act of Tom Hanks, where the famous and ever-lovely actor went out of his way to tend a hurting one made our day, just as it became a massive but cute headline around the world.

Imagine the plight of anyone who, as luck would have it, be named after the very epidemic the world is currently reeling with?

Just what can be worse or what can get more loathsome? So when a young but innocent Australian kid Corona de Vries, who’s all of 8, complained that he was being incessantly bullied and made into a target of remorseless online trolls, there was only one man who attended to the hurting Aussie boy.

That man was the very man who’s known for his famous quote:

“May you live as long as you want, but not want as long as you live!”

Tom Hanks rushed to the rescue of the young Australian boy who was the subject of hideous jokes when no one cared for the boy.

And the fine Californian did so by actually writing a very personalised letter to the aggrieved, an act that was concluded by the 8 year-old actually receiving a special gift from the great Tom Hanks himself.

So here is the content of Tom Hanks’ letter to Australia’s Corona who was recently in for a dreadful bit of time:

“I heard on the news you and your wife had caught the coronavirus,” the boy wrote. “Are you OK?”

He added that he loved his name but was being called “coronavirus” at school.

“I get very sad and angry when people call me this,” he wrote.

In response, Hanks replied with a letter that began: “Dear Friend Corona”.

“Your letter made my wife and I feel so wonderful! Thank you for being such a good friend – friends make friends feel good when they are down.”
