The Incredibles 2 Trailer: Watch Elastigirl Save The World While Mr. Incredible Becomes A Stay At Home Father

The Incredibles was one of the most amazing superhero animated movies released in the early 00s. It showed superheroes off-duty and living just a normal family life with kids and work issues, along with getting back to work. Released in 2004, it became instantly popular among the kids and masses of that time. The movie ended with a hope of a sequel, however, nothing was made official about the next Incredibles in town, until May 2014.

But it wasn’t until July 2017 that some fans got their first look at the project. Early concept art and sketches were brought to Disney’s biennial D23 conference and chief creative officer John Lasseter announced that The Incredibles 2 picks up where the first one left off.

Director Brad Bird also announced that the next Incredibles would be focusing more on Elastigirl. And, they’re indeed focusing on the Mrs. Incredible more.

This first The Incredibles 2 trailer reveals the gist of the new film. Mr. Incredible, is now a stay at home dad, while Elastigirl concentrates on saving the world from bad people, even though superheroes are still illegal. We see Mr. Incredible try to help Dash with math homework, wrangle Jack-Jack, and ask Edna Mode for advice. It’s pretty light on the action, possibly signaling that there will be something more nefarious at play — like a villain or two — than meets the eye.

Craig T. Nelson voices Mr. Incredible, while Holly Hunter plays Elastigirl in the sequel, and Sarah Powell returns as Violet Parr who wasn’t seen talking a lot in the trailer, much like the first movie. Newcomer Huck Milner joins The Incredibles family as Dash Parr.

Much like the prior sneak peek in The Incredibles 2, even this trailer focuses heavily on Jack-Jack’s abilities which makes the entire movie even more interesting.

The Incredibles 2 is all set to release on June 15 and we’re pretty sure that theatres will be 80% occupied by adults who’re want to take a stroll back into their childhood.
