Oscars 2018 Winners: Who Won What, From Best Film To Everything!

The whole world is talking about the biggest annual academy awards, Oscars. Since the nomination of Oscars 2018 was announced in January, people were perplexed to know which one of three, Guillermo del Toro’s fantasy The Shape of Water, Christopher Nolan’s wartime epic Dunkirk, and Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, will grab the award for the best film. There was a bleak difference of opinion among people about all three movies, however, The Shape of Water emerged as the winner and grabbed 4 awards in the ceremony.

Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the 90th Annual Award ceremony was a night of endless possibilities. Where many were rewarded with the golden momento, some were left longing for it. Here is a full list of the winners of Oscars 2018.

  • Best Picture – The Shape Of Water directed by Guillermo del Toro bragged the best picture in 90th Annual awards.

  • Best Actor – Gary Oldman, the 59-year-old actor won the best actor for playing the character of Winston Churchill in the Darkest Hour.

  • Best Actress – Frances McDormand bagged the best actress award for playing the character of Mildred Hayes in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

  • Best Director – Guillermo del Toro were awarded for directing “The Shape of Water”

  • Best Original Song – “Remember Me” by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez from Coco was chosen for the best Original song award in Oscar 2018.

  • Best Original Score – The French composer Alexandre Desplat, took home best original score at the 2018 Oscars for the music for “The Shape of Water.”

  • Best Cinematography – Roger Deakins bagged the award for best cinematography for an American science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049.

  • Best Original Screenplay – Writer-director Jordan Peele grabbed the award for American horror film Get Out.

  • Best Adapted Screenplay – Call Me By Your Name, a coming-of-age drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by James Ivory won the best-adapted screenplay at the Oscars 2018.

  • Best Live Action Short Film – A British short film written by and starring Rachel Shenton and directed by Chris Overton, The Silent Child took home the award for best live action short film.

  • Best Documentary Short Subject – A American documentary film directed by Frank Stiefel, Heaven is a Traffic Jam on the 405, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject at the 90th Academy Awards.

  • Best Film Editing – Lee Smith won the award for best film editing for Dunkirk, written, directed, and produced by Christopher Nolan that depicts the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II.

  • Best Visual Effects – John Nelson, Gerd Nefzer, Paul Lambert and Richard R. Hoover, grabbed this award for Blade Runner 2049.

  • Best Animated Feature – A American 3D computer-animated fantasy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, Coco won the best animated feature.

  • Best Animated Short Film – Written by Kobe Bryant and directed by Glen Keane, Dear Basketball won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 90th Academy Awards.

  • Best Supporting Actress – Allison Janney won best supporting actress for I, Tonya at Oscars 2018.

  • Best Foreign Language Film – Chilean drama film directed by Sebastián Lelio, A Fantastic Woman, Chile, was selected as the Best Foreign Language Film in Oscars 2018.

  • Best Production Design – Paul Denham Austerberry, Shane Vieau, Jeffrey Melvin, won this award for The Shape of Water

  • Best Sound Editing – Richard King and Alex Gibson, grabbed the best sound editing award at the 90th Academy Awards for Dunkirk.

  • Best Sound Mixing – Mark Weingarten, Gregg Landaker, Gary Rizzo, grabbed this award for Dunkirk.

  • Best Documentary Feature – Icarus, Russian doping documentary directed by Bryan Fogel has won the best documentary Academy Award.

  • Best Costume Design – Mark Bridges won the Academy Award for Best Costume Designer for Phantom Thread, written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

  • Best Makeup and Hairstyling – Japanese makeup artist Kazuhiro Tsuji and two colleagues, Lucy Sibbick and David Malinowski, won this year’s Academy Award for best makeup and hairstyling for Darkest Hour.

  • Best Supporting Actor – Sam Rockwell took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his work as a corrupt police officer in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
