Three Major Hollywood Film Releases To Hit Cinema Screens In India Soon!

What’s life without some movies and drama? Rather, let us rephrase it to fit a truth of our lives. What’s life without some Hollywood movies without the prospect of seeing them on the big screen? Isn’t it? Ever since the dreaded COVID era arrived and stung us like a bee hard to fend off, we Indians, much like the rest of the world haven’t come to see anything as such in Indian cinemaplexes or multiplexes as they’re called in the urban strand of life. Truth be told, to watch Netflix is sheer fun and something else but the joy that one gets to view an eagerly-anticipated movie on the big film screen is a joy like no other, something that nothing can ever replace or get the better off.

The only trouble, however, being that one hasn’t really gotten a chance to see any Hollywood movie on the big movie screen in an age where sanitization, virus, personal safety, social distancing and vaccines are the commonly used norms and words.

One really wonders where did those days disappear and when might those days recur where one might hang out with friends and family at a cinema hall?

Well, fact is that certain pleasures in life can never be replaced by anything else and in this age of increased digitalisation, where everything is going the OTP way (even if, rightly so), the serene charm of watching a movie on the bigger screen cannot be replaced by viewing the same on the hand-held device.

And in what comes across as stellar news, it appears that not one or two but three big Hollywood film releases are soon coming to a cinema hall near you!

Well, what a line isn’t it- a cinema hall near you, the one we’ve gotten all too familiar with over these years.

So now let’s jump into the immediate question as to which are these Hollywood films that we can now watch, as certain states have already given a green signal to opening multiplexes, to a certain capacity, which is actually brilliant news for just about everybody.

In a news report published on the Nagaland Post, the following information came to light:

Before the August 15 weekend, which is expected to see the release of Hindi films in the cans, these Hollywood releases are expected to get the audiences back.

The three movies are the martial arts fantasy film “Mortal Kombat” (re-releasing on July 30), “The Suicide Squad” (starring Margot Robbie, Idris Alba, John Cena, Sylvester Stallone and Viola Davis; August 5) and “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” (August 13). Kamal Gianchandani, CEO, PVR Pictures said: “The release of these movies in three consecutive weeks in multiple languages and formats certainly will give a boost to the industry by inducing movie-goers to return to the big screens.” Simon McQuoid’s “Mortal Kombat”, incidentally, was first released on April 23 in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Its July 30 re-release is pegged on the re-opening of cinema theatre in Delhi at 50 per cent capacity.

All eyes, though, are on James Gunn’s super-hero action movie “The Suicide Squad”, which is being released by Warner Bros on August 5. Also expected to draw crowds is the third installment of director Michael Chaves’s “The Conjuring” horror movie franchise.
