Black Panther Looks Absolutely Perfect In This New Released Clip

Black Panther is one of the most anticipated and biggest releases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2018, and with every clip release, the makers are rightly proving it to be just that.

Ever since Black Panther first appeared in Captain America: Civil War fighting alongside Iron Man’s faction, fans have been waiting for his standalone film. Now, the movie is just little over a month away and Marvel is doing everything possible to keep the hype alive and this includes the recent release of the new Black Panther clip.

Much like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, Marvel decided to unveil a special look for Black Panther during the halftime show of a big football game, this time at the National Championship Game in Atlanta. This TV spot was released following an epic performance by Kendrick Lamar who is also the man behind the movie’s soundtrack.

While this new Black Panther clip doesn’t give a lot away from the movie, apart from various small snippets of the characters, including, Michael B. Jordan’s Eric Killmonger, Angela Bassett’s Ramonda, Forest Whitaker’s Zuri. The clip starts with Martin Freeman’s Everett K. Ross asking, “You’re telling me the king of a third world country runs around in a bulletproof catsuit?” and after that, there’s a series of action-packed clips from the land of Wakanda, an African country.

Watch the clip over here:

Black Panther is considered to be more than just a superhero movie by Marvel, somehow, it’s the best thing that can ever be presented to the black community. Many have expressed how monochromatic the Black superheroes of Marvel universe have been. One of the biggest problems with Black superheroes is that even though they look black, but very rarely do they reflect the experiences and struggles of black people. Kenneth Ghee once explained in his report that, “Historically in comic books and movies, the Black superhero operates in a totally Eurocentric (White) context; no Black family, no Black lover, no connection to community or culture…For him (and for us and our children) there is no Black consciousness or Black cause, only a generalized ‘humanitarian’ supportive role from a Eurocentric worldview and perspective.”

Once you make an analysis on this, the entire statement comes out to be very true, however, that is not the case with Black Panther because of which people can anticipate hardly any more for its release. The movie is considered to so important that one of the activists from Harlem, New York decided to take 300 underprivileged children from The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem to see the racially diverse film.

In order to make this possible, Frederick Joseph decided to start a GoFundMe page and it has already surpassed the $10,000 Goal.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and also stars Andy Serkis, Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, and Danai Gurira. Black Panther is all set to release on February 15, 2018.
