Disney Goes Futuristic With A Wrinkle In Time Trailer

During the American Music Awards, Disney released the first official A Wrinkle In Time trailer and it looks absolutely stunning and intriguing. Based on Madeleine L’Engle’s 1963 science-fiction novel by the same name, A Wrinkle In Time is a story about a young girl, Meg Murray (Storm Reid), on a quest to save her father.

Murray is on a fantastical journey between the realms of space and time, in order to save her father, however, she’s not alone in this. Accompanied by her younger brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) and best friend, Calvin O’Keefe (Levi Miller), this young group meets a trio of witches (Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling), who also help them out on this journey. Along the way, they visit several fantastic planets and discovers that the universe is under attack by a personification of evil, The Black Thing.

In the first minute of the trailer, the entire concept of A Wrinkle In Time is explained to the viewers in the easiest and amazing way possible.

A Wrinkle In Time trailer is amazing and it’s one of the next live-action movies that are produced and released directly by the Disney proper, rather than going with one of its subsidiaries Lucasfilm or Marvel Studios.

The movie also has Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, André Holland and Michael Peña.

Directed by Ava DuVernay, A Wrinkle In Time is scheduled for a March 9, 2018, release.

All thanks to this sci-fi adventure, Ava is now the first black female director and the third woman to get a movie with such huge budget (more than 100 million dollars).
