If you’re one of those who wait until the Oscars nominations come out and decide to select the movie that you would be watching next, then cheer up because the Academy has rolled out the nominations.
While we were sure about some movies (like La La Land) that had ruled the Golden Globes at every freaking thing. And, because of this, La La Land with 14 nominations became one of most nominated films ever at the Oscars, matching with All About Eve and Titanic. This means we would be able to watch Ryan Gosling in a tuxedo again and personally, I’m just happy with that. Apart from this, Meryl Streep was nominated for the 20th time at the Oscars, as Best Actress for her role in Florence Foster Jenkins, and broke her own record, this nomination alone was a powerful answer to Donald Trump’s statement on Streep being an over-rated actress.
2017 also came with a break on two-years long “OscarSoWhite” fiasco and the Academy of Motion Pictures rolled out with more diverse nomination set.
