We all have that one relative who keeps on sending us good morning messages on Whatsapp, followed by requests on our social media and if you don’t respond to it all, they would ask you about it in front of your entire family. Don’t we?
A perfect reincarnation of that relative in Bollywood has to be the Amitabh Bachchan, who is known to be the senior most actor in Bollywood with decades of experience in the industry to back his repertoire. No doubt, he’s a fantastic actor and entertainer, more than that, he also happens to be only of the holy cows in the country, someone against whom no one can even think of speaking. Especially, in Bollywood. The industry respects him and his work a lot which is apparent from any and every Bollywood gathering that he attends.
Sr Bachchan also happens to be one of the few celebrities in the country who still likes to personally wish his fellows from the industry on their birthdays and success, through text messages. Unlike others who think social media is the only place where you need to wish one another. However, dare you to wish to respond to his message late or not at all, and you’ll be publicly schooled by the man himself.
He has done it with many stars in the past, with the recent one being Anushka Sharma who celebrated her birthday a few days back and forgot to respond to Bachchan’s message. Here’s how the entire thing rolled out.
Anushka isn’t the only one on this list. Here are other Bollywood celebrities who forgot to respond to Amitabh Bachchan’s greetings.
Last year, Amitabh Bachchan replied to a tweet by Ranveer Singh mentioning that the actor had forgotten to reply to Big B’s birthday text on July 6. However, Ranveer immediately responded to the tweet and said that he totally did respond to Big B’s wishes.
Last year, even Sonam Kapoor somehow forgot to respond and when Big B pointed it out she gave a clarification for the mistake and said that she never really got the message.
Not just the younger lot, even actors like Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta were schooled by Bachchan.
While others got their schooling through tweets, Shahrukh Khan had to face Amitabh Bachchan’s confrontation on television. In Season 3 of Koffee With Karan, when Amitabh Bachchan attended the talk show with his daughter Shweta Nanda, he mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan had not replied to his birthday text and asked Karan Johar to make sure that SRK knows that he owes a reply to him. When Shahrukh visited Karan on the season finale of the show, he was confronted by Karan on the issue to which he apologized from the bottom of his heart.
So the lesson learned over here is that never-ever forget about responding to Amitabh Bachchan’s greetings, or would get you in the public.
