What Is Shilpa Shetty’s New Film All About?

Few actresses have managed to don multiple roles with the charm and quips like Shilpa Shetty, Bollywood’s enduring lissome lass. There is more to her than just being an actress, right? Shilpa Shetty is also a film producer, dancer, author and even, a yoga instructor. As a matter of fact, in the 2000s, Shilpa Shetty increased the pulse rate of her male admirers by putting together sultry Yoga videos that were as informative and helpful as they were attractive.

And yet, there’s not an awful of Shilpa Shetty nowadays on the big screen, isn’t it? How’s that? For instance, would you be able to take the name of any two to three of her latest film releases? Perhaps you won’t be able to for there haven’t been too many as such.

While much of 2020 and 2021 was mauled by controversy for the tall actress all thanks to the alleged porn video app saga involving her millionaire husband, it seems the silence on the acting front has subsided somewhat. And just how exactly is that, one asks?

Only a few hours ago, the famous actresses noted for divergent movie roles such as Main Khiladi, Tu Anaari, Baazigar, Dhadkan, Life In a Metro announced her upcoming film release.

So what is it? Well, let’s find out.

The name of Shetty’s yet-to-be-released, but highly anticipated Bollywood venture is “Sukhee!”

Now interestingly for someone who does put up a happy and cheery face, how’s Sukhee for the name of her upcoming work? No irony there right?

For someone who has mainly been associated with television screen or the small screen (of lately) as one puts it where she was actively seen in reality shows such as Nach Baliye and Super Dancer, the forthcoming film release is a welcome respite of sorts and will bring back to the screen one of the most charming faces of the Hindi film industry.

A quick look at the unreleased film “Sukhee”‘s poster shows Shetty in a happy-go-lucky avatar. She can be seen riding a horse, dancing and even driving a superbike. Multiple snapshots with her quintessential candid smile put forth the question whether she’s playing multiple roles or if much like the nature of her character, Shetty’s on-screen name is Sukhee too?

But, this is just anticipation, one cannot yet offer anything as a final confirmation.

What one does know, however, is that Sukhee is being directed by Sonal Joshi (also an actress as well as a writer) known for movies like Saheb, Biwi and Gangster (2011). The said project is backed by Abundantia Entertainment and T Series.

Furthermore, here is what information from Shilpa Shetty’s Instagram page had to say about a film that looks lively and quirky:

Shetty, 46, took to Instagram and shared the film’s poster.

“Thrilled to announce my next, In and As #Sukhee with @abundantiaent & @tseriesfilms. Directed by @random_amusements,” the actor wrote. While a lot many details regarding the film are still under the wraps, there’s some information available on what might be the actress’s next film projects:

The “Apne” actor will next be seen in the action romantic comedy “Nikamma”, co-starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia.
