Few actors command the adoration and sincere love of fans quite like Salman Khan, a mega star, rather an asteroid of Bollywood; a subliminal sort of element that comes once in a lifetime. Over the years, the love for Salman Khan has increased tremendously particularly in lines with mega-hits he’s gone on to decorate Bollywood’s celeb-hungry canvass with. There’s Ready, Bodyguard, Kick, Jai Ho, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in recent times. And now the Khan is back as Radhe, a film that’s been keenly awaited since well over a year.
May 13 is what everyone had been waiting for, since the date was always supposed to be the time when everyone’s doting ‘Bhai’ would distribute Idi in the form of yet another mega hit.
And thus came about Radhe, Salman Khan’s latest, albeit one that will hit the OTT platforms not your nearest cinema screen. These are seriously threatening COVID times after all, and it makes little sense to venture out.
But then who says that one cannot enjoy the dear Salman Khan’s movies despite being grounded at home?
But importantly so, Salman Khan did have a message for his loving fans ahead of his latest ‘Radhe’s’ release. So what was it and what did the Khan with killer looks and bulging biceps have to say?
Not a man who often goes about harping too many words, he keeps it simple, straightforward and brief. And taking to social media, Salman Khan simply had a video message for his fans wherein he said, “No piracy in entertainment… #Radhe.”
The movie, as one may have already noted, has been released on famous OTT platform ZEE 5. And Salman Khan urged his fans to come forward and consume his latest offering of enticing entertainment only here, nowhere else.
Also makes a lot of sense, because piracy is something that’s truly criminal and absolutely illegal. While we as fans enjoy a film that maybe lasts between 2 to 3 hours, loving every bit of our favourite matinee idols, behind the film rests a huge process that could often see actors, directors, producers, choreographers, script writers, spot boys, junior artists and that entire paraphernalia working for months and months altogether.
When you entertain piracy or download pirated versions of movies, you do no less than backstabbing your very own or favourite actor. How else are you going to put it?
It’s just not the right thing to do, truth be told.
But coming back to Salman Khan, who did, as a matter of fact, suffer a bit of a setback in the form of his past Tubelight bombing at the box office, much is expected of the latest offering, a crime thriller that also stars Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda.
Also, Randeep Hooda and Salman Khan have joined had together in the past in 2014’s “Kick,” directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, that also starred Mithun Chakraborty and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
But how will Radhe fare and will Salman Khan get to taste his usual glory again? Have you already watched the flick and if so, what are your impressions about it. Kindly let us know in the comment section below.
