Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge or as its popularly called, DDLJ was a film that may not ever be forgotten. One can understand the success of a film by the sheer response it generates. And more specifically, when it comes to the genre of romance, then it’s not too hard to understand why Shah Rukh Khan’s presence in a flick raises the ante altogether.
Well, on those lines, 24 years ago, when Shah Rukh Khan’s DDLJ found in film-goers’ hearts, a place of its own, and as seen in the years hence, a place in everyone’s (obviously except horror, action film buffs) life for good, there was another Bollywood actor who had seen the movie.
Now, this actor is more than one; rather a superstar, someone whose name brings incessant smiles to everyone’s faces. Girls love him. Men wish to be like him. And even kids consider him a hero, and as seen in his part as a true Bajrang Bali-devotee in a not so distant Kabeer Khan’s epic.
So do you have any clue what Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s finest superstars had said to Shah Rukh Khan after seeing his 1995-blockbuster hit?
Here’s what you ought to know. Interestingly, it is Shah Rukh Khan himself who revealed what the other dashing Khan, someone with whom he’s done noted films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan Arjun, and others. Speaking to ANI recently, the man who’s called the ‘Baadshah Khan’ or King of hearts’ himself revealed the fact that Salman Khan had nothing but kind words to say about a flick that’s gone on to become an icon in the realm of Bollywood.
So, what do you think Salman Khan might have shared with SRK? Ok, alright the wait ends here.
Quoting directly from none other than SRK himself, “The first person outside the production who saw the film and said ‘it’s a great one’ was my friend Salman Khan.”
It’s also interesting to note that these two colossal stars of Bollywood have had a fall-out in the past and for years together, didn’t even see each other eye to eye. And that said, it wasn’t until a few years back where the ‘Karan Arjun’ of Bollywood came together finally and thus, revived a cinematic equation that was fundamentally too good from the fans’ perspective to have gone mellow.
And needless to reiterate the matter where the two fell apart but still, for those who may not have known, Times Now put it aptly hereunder:
In 2008 however, SRK and Salman had a big fall out at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash and their cold war began. It took the two actors 7 years to finally let bygones be bygones and be friends again. Finally, the two actors, reunited as friends, are once again making headlines for their BFF stories.
