Income Tax Raids sequences and even movies based on the subject are often high-paced with hard-hitting dialogues and something happening in every second, cue Akshay Kumar’s Special 26. But in the Ajay Devgn starrer Raid trailer, the makers have decided to take a different route.
The Raid trailer gradually sets the tone of the trailer and intensely builds tension among the viewers, as things start to go wrong.
Just an hour after unveiling the poster of Raid, Ajay Devgn dropped the trailer of the film and it indeed looks amazing. Ajay plays the role of a hardworking and uptight Income Tax Officer, who has been transferred 49 times in his seven-year-long career and isn’t scared for the 50th one.
As perfect the protagonist of the movie is, he finds his perfect nemesis in Saurabh Shukla who plays the role of one of the most influential and corrupt man in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Set in 1981, the film is based on real-life events of one of the most high-profile raids the country has ever known.
While Neeraj Pandey’s Special 26 was a con-drama, Raid takes a much more intense tone for the movie. However, much like its counter, even this one has some hard-hitting and memorable dialogues, all thanks to Ritesh Shah, who has written this film and has movies like Pink and Airlift to his name.
Apart from Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla, Ileana D’Cruz is also playing an important role in the movie.
