“Dum Dum” is the first track from Anushka Sharma’s next “Phillauri”. The track has a very Sufi feel to it which would take you back to the times when romance was associated with Sufi music rather than rap. “Dum Dum” is described as the first Sufi love song of 2017 which makes it all the more interesting.
The video of “Dum Dum” features Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh in the sepia-toned era where their love commences and goes on to be the plot of the film (as per the trailer). Both the actors appears to be very raw and real to their characters which make us believe that Phillauri is going to be a movie with some authentic and absolute acting. The entire track’s video spans out with some scenic landscapes and has a constant aura of ‘Ek Tara’ being played by Diljit.
Hard-core DDLJ fans might find the opening shot of “Dum Dum” to take them back to ‘sarso ke khet’ feels of the ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

Diljit seems to be playing a character which is completely opposite to his first Bollywood project, ‘Udta Punjab‘, and this is definitely going to be a treat for the audience. “Phillauri” also stars Anushka Sharma, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada.
The film is scheduled to release on 24th March 2017.
