Akhil Akkineni, son of Nagarjuna and Shriya Bhupal, the granddaughter of business tycoon GVK Reddy has reportedly called off their destination wedding in Italy. Akkineni and Bhupal dated for a few years and got engaged in a private ceremony last year in 2016 at the GVK House. Reports suggest that Akhil & Shriya called off their engagement while Nagarjuna and GVK Reddy reluctantly gave in.
According to reports, their families tried to counsel the young couple but failed to do so. The two were supposed to tie the knot in Rome, Italy in May 2017. Over 700 guests were invited to their wedding, the families of the couple got in touch with invited people and requested them to cancel their tickets.
The reason for the wedding cancellation is still a mystery as no reason has been provided to guests as well as media about the sudden development. People close to the families have pointed out that all the arrangements had been done in Italy, including hotel and travel bookings as everything was well until last week.
Akhil & Shriya had dated each other for almost two years before their engagement in December last year. No official confirmation about the wedding cancellation has been made yet.
