Mahashivratri Special: 5 Times Bollywood Payed A Tribute To Mahadev

Mahashivratri is one of the most enjoyed festivals of India. Lord Shiva is the idol of many and the god of power has a truly dedicated mass following. Although, there are many theories about the origin and celebration of Mahashivratri but two of them are famous widely. Theory one suggests that on this day Lord Shiva performed ‘Tandava Nritya’; thus, the night is celebrated as the great night of Shiva.

The second theory is famous of them all, as the beliefs are that Shiva got married to Goddess Parvati on this day and the night is celebrated as the marriage anniversary of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
