“Maatr”, a movie less heard of. A movie that will be less promoted on Social media amidst Raveena Tandon is making a comeback on big screen. But if you are a fan of unconventional stories, “Maatr” is just the thing you have been searching for in recent times. Don’t get me wrong I love drama but hitting every nerve of our trained in ‘Don’t Give A F*ck’ brain concepts are something that I will always opt first.
“Maatr” is a movie of tragedy, crime, survival, revenge and justice. Set in Delhi, the story showcases a mother-daughter who were victims of few educated high society men’s lust (I am sure you can recall a guys name who is full of overconfidence just because his father is either very rich, or powerful or both). Raveena and her daughter get raped and the system fails to help them. Raveena whose daughter gets injured to death decides to fight back and that’s what makes Maatr a must watch.

Although, few movies have already been made on such cases but either they were narrating what happened or there was an outer source helping the victims. “Maatr” sends out a strong message – I you want justice then don’t be dependent on somebody as you have got to help yourself.
