Fanney Khan Trailer: A Beautiful Journey Of A Father’s Struggles For His Daughter’s Dreams

Indian/Desi parents are completely different than parents from any other part of the world. They don’t just give birth to their kids, but also to their kid’s dreams, and while sometimes it might go horribly wrong, we can’t be more grateful for our parents to go that extra mile for our benefit.

This Fanney Khan trailer just shows the mileage of that drive.

Fanney Khan is a story about a man who was a successful musician in the 90s but as the time passed and he grew old, so did his dreams. However, he does not want the same for his daughter which is why he’s ready to go to any lengths for making his daughter’s dream of a music album come true. So much so, that he decides to kidnap one of the biggest singer in the country – Baby Singh (Aishwarya Rai) – for extortion money. And, he’s not alone in it, he also gets his friend Rajkummar Rao in the drill, who apparently is big Baby Singh fan.

In the midst of all this, Fanney Khan trailer also shows the rough patch through which this father-daughter relationship went. Anil Kapoor is not your usual school kid, she’s fat and more than anything, she’s constantly bothered by her peers for her weight which brings even more pressure on her. However, this little star is a force of her own kind, at least that’s what it looks like, in the trailer.

Fanney Khan Trailer: Watch the video over here:

Fanney Khan is an official remake of 73rd Academy Awards nominee and Belgian film Everybody’s Famous! More than that, considering it’s a movie revolving around music, the original soundtrack is another thing fans are too excited for. A rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s famous song “Ye Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai” can be heard in the trailer. Anil Kapoor has also revealed that the movie will also feature a recreated version of “Badan Pe Sitare Lapete Hue”.

It features actors like Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta. Fanney Khan is produced by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and directed by Atul Manjrekar. The film is slated to release on August 3.
