Dhadak Trailer Is Here And This Modern Tale Of Romeo And Juliet Looks Beautiful

One of the most anticipated movies of this year has to be Dhadak. It’s the official remake of Marathi movie and National Award Winner, Sairat, as well as the Bollywood debut of Late Sridevi’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor. Dhadak is also the official Bollywood debut of Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother Ishaan Khattar.

Today, the makers finally unveiled the Dhadak trailer and it looks amazing.

Both the debutants have somehow managed to make their presence felt on the screen, even in simpler scenes. Though Ishaan has come out to be the real hero in it. We already know that he has the potential to ace the acting department, all thanks to his international release – Beyond The Clouds. As for Janhvi Kapoor, she looks great in the trailer, and we hope the same happens in the movie too.

The makers have described the plot of Dhadak like this, “Meet Madhukar and Parthavi, two young and passionate individuals who make a safe haven of their own when they fall in love. But as their love grew, so did their problems when their families reject their love. Torn between society and families, their fate becomes uncertain but their love stands strong.”

Dhadak Trailer: Watch The Video Over Here:

Though Dhadak is a Bollywood remake of Marathi superhit Sairat, it has relatively less undertones of the basic premises Sairat was made on. And this has been worrying a lot of Sairat fans. Even the makers have come out to say that Dhadak is not as hard-hitting and gritty as Sairat was, it’s more like a modern re-telling of Romeo and Juliet, something Bollywood has tried and tested way too many times.

Apart from that, the background music of Dhadak looks as promising as the one in Sairat, which was an essential part of the movie, all thanks to the same musical duo who worked on the original, Ajay-Atul.

Dhadak is directed by Shashank Khaitan who has also helmed Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. And, it is produced by Karan Johar.

The movie is slated to release on July 20th.
