Dancing Uncle Finally Got The Opportunity To Meet His Idol Govinda

Earlier this month, a video of a man dancing to the tunes of a Govinda song went viral on the Internet and soon India found its saviour in Dancing Uncle. His moves and ease of dancing were what swooned many to watch his performance on repeat. It has to be one of the best feel-good videos of this year.

Soon everyone was sharing and resharing the video with their friends, families, colleagues and everyone else, and then some publication actually found the man and what he does. Following the reveal, we got to know that this Dancing Uncle is actually an Engineering professor in Madhya Pradesh and has always been a big fan of dancing and Govinda.

Sanjeev Srivastava was soon a household name and everyone knew who he was and what he did and about his love for Bollywood dancing. Soon actors and directors started coming to him with roles in Bollywood movies, or at least some special performance in their movies. Word on the street is that Srivastava might be coming in the next Sunil Shetty movie.

During an interview to a news channel, Dancing Uncle expressed his wish to meet Govinda one day, and immediately all eyes were on Hero No.1 actor. He not only acclaimed the Uncle for his dancing but also expressed how impressed and smitten he was with his performance.

What followed this entire fiasco was various meeting with big celebrities, brand deals, and a name change. Sanjeev Srivastava likes to call himself Dabbu The Dancer, rather than the Dancing Uncle.

And, now a new high in his recent found fame was achieved yesterday when Srivastava finally got the opportunity to meet Govinda on a dance reality show.

Dabbu the Dancer had his life’s dream come true, when he was invited, along with his wife Anjali Srivastava, to the sets of Dance Deewane, a reality dance show!

Along with Govinda, the couple also met other celebrities like Madhuri Dixit Nene, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kapoor, and apart from all the meet and greet, Dancing Uncle got the opportunity to dance with his idol Govinda. Here are few snippets of their performance.

Though the video of the entire thing is not available yet, we can see the entire thing over this weekend when the show will be telecasted for the viewers. Till then, we can’t stop feeling eternally happy for the man and for all that he’s achieved in the past few weeks.
