Bhavesh Joshi Superhero Trailer Mirrors The Current Situation Of India With A Superhero In The Mix

The makers have finally released the much-anticipated Bhavesh Joshi Superhero trailer and we’re too excited about it. What might felt like a movie driven by Hollywood’s perception of superheroes due to the teaser, is not like that, at all. There’s so much to Bhavesh Joshi Superhero than just a man turning into a superhero, in order to fight the bad people of the society and bring good to the world.

Bhavesh Joshi Superhero trailer shows that the movie has more to it than what just met the eye through the teaser. The trailer does a great job in explaining the premise of the movie. It’s not just a thriller but is actually a movie that births from comedy and soon takes a dark turn.

The trailer opens on a comic note when Ashish Verma is discussing his graphic novel on Mumbai’s first superhero with his friends, Harshvardhan and Priyanshu Painyuli. Soon after getting inspired from Ashish’s basic idea, Harshvardhan and Priyanshu decide to bring the change which is limited to busting some minor rackets and confronting people on camera about their illegal tasks. Until, they stumble upon something very big and scary, and get involved with a BMC water supply scam.

Soon they get noticed by the big shark who moves on to label them as soon terrorists who are from another country, only doing all of this to bring shame to India. Sounds too familiar, to be honest. We have seen things like this happen in real life, whenever someone voices their opinion against the government or barges light on the wrongdoings in the country, politicians come out to label them as anti-nationals. The sight is too familiar, especially in the last 3-2 years which makes the story a bit too relatable.

The only thing different about Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is that this time the accused isn’t dead or silent but comes out to fight the bad, as a superhero.

The makers have said that “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is an action film about a young man who wants to continue doing the right and challenge the wrong. And on this journey, he discovers that he’s destined to do bigger things, which will transform him from a common man into a Superhero,” while explaining the concept of the film.

The film stars Harshvardhan Kapoor, Priyanshu Painyuli, Ashish Verma & Shreiyah Sabharwal in pivotal roles. The story is written by Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, & Abhay Koranne. One can almost feel the essence of Anurag Kashyap’s filmmaking in this trailer, which is always a good thing.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is slated to release on May 25th, 2018.
