Irrfan Khan’s Blackmail has been the talk of the town, from its casting to its vivid and interesting storyline, almost everything revealed about the movie in its trailer has kept the audience longing for more. After all, we don’t often get to see good story based movies. But, one can only expect it from an Irrfan Khan movie to deliver what the audience truly wants, a good story and good acting.
The makers of Blackmail have released another track from the movie, titled Badla, and it will pump you right up for anything come what may.
This high intensity and pumped up track is definitely an amazing new number to grace the Bollywood music charts.
Irrfan’s look in the Badla music video is similar to the one he sports in the movie, however, it’s Amit Trivedi and DIVINE in a never seen before avatar, that we need to talk about, especially Trivedi. This music composer is said to be one of the most successful and talented music composers of today, and watching him in an avatar like this will remind you of his Udta Punjab days.
As for Irrfan, he can be seen breaking a lot of things in the Badla music video. From a television to the bathroom sink, he is seen breaking a lot of things, all to come to terms with his wife cheating on him.
The lyrics of Badla, especially the rap portion, calls for an applaud. Very rarely do we get to listen to a rap that doesn’t talk about girls and money, for a change, something that has been DIVINE’s specialty. He’s known to write rap verses to vent out an anger or to show the motivation in someone.
This latest track from Blackmail is sung by Amit Trivedi, who has also composed the music of Badla, along with rap verses by DIVINE. The lyrics of the song are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Blackmail has Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari in lead roles, and Divya Dutta and Arunoday Singh in pivotal roles. Directed by Abhinay Deo, Blackmail is slated to release on April 6th, 2018.
